Lee Shulman

Lee Shulman met his wife Judy in 1957 at Camp Ramah in Wisconsin where he was a counselor and teacher.  Since then, he has been enthusiastic about opportunities for social and cognitive interaction in places for Jewish learning.  He has devoted many years to research and writing on teaching and learning.  He retired in 2008 after eleven years as president of the Carnegie Foundation and has returned to Stanford University where he is Professor Emeritus of Education.  He finds two retirements exhausting but fun.
